Share the Love- Garnet Cardinal Necklace

This is one of the designs I have created in memory of my grandmother who passed away this year. She loved cardinals (and chickadees 😉), and every time I see them outside I always think of her. 

This necklace measures 21 inches end to end. The pendant is made with sterling silver and features a 3mm Garnet. It measures just over an inch in height, and around 3.25 inches wide. 

This necklace is currently just a design with the stone picked out and will start being crafted once the order is placed. The estimated crafting timeframe is 6-8 weeks. Shipping and transit time begin after the piece has been completed and are separate from the listed production timeframe.

Payment & Shop Pay Installments

Pre-orders are purchased for the full listed price at checkout.

If you would prefer to divide your purchase into payments, Shop Pay installments may be available as a payment option at checkout.

Using Shop Pay installments does not place your jewelry on layaway or delay its creation. Your order will enter my production schedule in the same way as a pre-order paid in full, and your finished piece may be shipped while you continue making scheduled payments through Shop Pay.

Because pre-order pieces are individually handmade after a design has been claimed, completed pre-orders are final sale and are not eligible for returns or exchanges due to a change of mind.

Finished dimensions and other important details will be included in each product listing before purchase. Listing photos may also include size references to help you understand the scale of the finished piece.

Please review the listing description, measurements, photos, stone, design, and other details carefully before placing your order. If you have any questions about the piece before purchasing, I'm always happy to answer them.

Once I have begun or resumed work on your piece following your purchase, the order enters active production and the sale becomes final. At that point, the order cannot be cancelled or refunded. 

Sterling Silver & Jewelry Care

Sterling silver is made to be worn and enjoyed, but proper care will help keep your jewelry looking its best for years to come.

Sterling silver naturally tarnishes over time as it reacts with its environment. Tarnish is normal and does not mean that your jewelry is damaged or defective.

To help protect your Songbird Silver jewelry:

- Remove jewelry before showering, bathing, swimming, or using a hot tub.

- Avoid exposing your jewelry to chlorine, saltwater, household cleaners, and other harsh chemicals.

- Remove jewelry before applying lotion, sunscreen, perfume, hairspray, body spray, makeup, or other cosmetics. Whenever possible, allow these products to dry or absorb completely before putting your jewelry on.

- As a general rule, jewelry should be one of the last things you put on when getting ready and one of the first things you take off at the end of the day.

- Remove delicate, stone-set, or highly detailed pieces before sleeping, exercising, gardening, cleaning, or doing other activities where the jewelry may be caught, bent, scratched, struck, or exposed to chemicals.

- Store jewelry somewhere clean and dry when it is not being worn. Keeping individual pieces separated can help prevent scratching, damaged stones, and tangled chains.

- Use a soft jewelry polishing cloth to gently remove normal tarnish and restore shine.

- Use extra care when polishing textured, oxidized, or intentionally darkened areas. Aggressive polishing can remove intentional finishes and reduce the contrast that gives many Songbird Silver pieces their detail.

- Do not use chemical silver dips, ultrasonic cleaners, steam cleaners, or other jewelry-cleaning solutions unless you know that they are safe for both the sterling silver and every stone contained in your piece. Different natural stones require different types of care.
